Anatomy of Strength The Role of Steel Reinforcement

Take a look inside the concrete to understand how high-tensile steel bars prevent cracking and ensure your wall stands for decades.

DURABILITY

Concrete is incredibly strong under compression, but it needs a backbone to handle tension and environmental stress. This is where steel reinforcement becomes the silent hero of our precast planks. At our Ghatkesar facility, every plank is cast around a cage of high-tensile steel, ensuring that the finished product can withstand high winds and ground shifts without fracturing.

Reinforcing the Concrete Core

We use specifically graded steel bars that are strategically placed before the concrete is poured. This reinforcement prevents the concrete from becoming brittle. Unlike stone walls that can crumble under sudden impact or tectonic pressure, reinforced precast concrete flexes just enough to maintain its structural integrity, protecting your investment for the long haul.

Corrosion Resistance and Longevity

A common concern in construction is the rusting of internal steel, which can lead to 'concrete cancer.' We address this by ensuring a precise depth of concrete cover around the steel. By eliminating air pockets through mechanical vibration during the casting process, we seal the reinforcement away from the elements, ensuring the wall remains robust against the heavy Indian monsoons.
